It is hard to argue that the world is going through a Rosé revolution at present, as it is more and more often being drunk in a myriad of situations from backyard barbecues through to fine dining restaurants almost by the bucket load.  Historically pigeon holed to being wines for beginners representing sweeter and richer styles, the time is perfect for Elderton to showcase sophisticated dry rosé that has been wonderfully crafted to drink by the bucket load in a myriad of situations from the backyard barbecue through to fine dining!

Winemakers CommentsSmall parts of our Mourvedre and Grenache blocks on our Greenock vineyard were identified early in the ripening process to be ideal for the production of our 2018 Rosé. Picking the fruit ripe to ensure the wine has flavour, but early enough (weeks before we picked the rest of the grapes for our GSM) to retain delicious acidity has allowed us to create the type of Rose that will put a smile on the face of anyone who drinks it.
